Ground One Enterprises was awarded a 2014 Landscape Award by the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA)  for the Krueger McMullen Residence. This project is comprised of three components: plants, structures and stone work. Plants are used throughout the backyard to create a vibrant and cozy oasis that screens the alley. Structures include a new cedar arbor installed over the patio to reinforce the intimate space and provide screening from the neighbors. The columns are fiberglass wraps matching the columns found on the new front porch. Stone work included a new bluestone path between house and garage, stepping stones around the side of the house, a bluestone patio adjacent to the four-season porch, and a bluestone plinth that wraps the back of the house. This installation gave the Krueger McMullen Residence a much easier and safer circulation pattern, especially in the winter. The project ultimately created a flexible, lively, and cozy area for their family and friends.
